Welcome to the Week 2 Keto Meal Plan! ๐
Whether youโre continuing from Week 1 or jumping in right here, weโre thrilled youโre joining us.
This week 2 keto meal plan has been completely updated for January 2026 with new recipes, a corresponding prep strategy and shopping list, and clearer macros.

One of the goals of these weekly keto meal plans is to keep things realistic and sustainable. Staying in ketosis means keeping net carbs under 20g per day โ that part is non-negotiable. But this plan is also about building habits that actually work in real life, with real schedules, real grocery stores, and real appetites.
If you completed Week 1, take a moment to acknowledge that. Even planning ahead or cooking a few meals at home is progress. And if last week didnโt go exactly as you’d hoped? Thatโs okay too. Every new week is a fresh start.
If you’re just getting started and have questions about how keto works, you can start with my 3-Day Keto Kickstart and Menu Plan to get caught up.
What to Expect from the Week 2 Keto Meal Plan
This Week 2 Keto Meal Plan builds on the same structure you saw in Week 1, with a fresh mix of meals to keep things interesting while still staying low-carb and satisfying.
You can expect:
- A balance of simple, repeatable meals and a few that feel a little more special
- Easy prep that helps you stay consistent without cooking every day
- Flexibility built in so you can make swaps and still stay on track
The goal is always the same: eat well, stay consistent, and feel good doing it.
Keto Meal Prep that Fits Real Life
Just like last week, this plan leans on simple keto meal prep to make your week easier. A little time spent prepping on Sunday and midweek goes a long way toward reducing stress and decision fatigue.
That said, this is a framework โ not a rulebook. If you need to repeat a meal, skip something youโre not in the mood for, or swap based on what you already have, thatโs completely fine. Just keep your overall carbs in check and adjust portions as needed.

Before You Start: Standard Items Used This Week
To keep the daily plan clean and readable, a few items are used repeatedly throughout the week. Portions and macros for these items are already included in the daily totals.
Romaine Lettuce for Tuna Salad (1 serving)
Use either:
- 2 large romaine leaves (wrap-style), or
- 1 cup chopped romaine (fork salad)
Choose whichever you prefer โ both are equivalent for the purposes of this plan.
Standard Side Salad (1 serving)
This side salad appears with several dinners.
1 serving includes:
- 2 cups chopped romaine
- 1 cup sliced cucumber
- ยฝ cup sliced celery
- 2 tablespoons keto-friendly dressing
Macros assume up to ~170 calories from dressing. If your dressing is higher or lower, adjust accordingly.
About Optional Snacks & Desserts
Optional snacks and desserts are included in the daily macros shown.
You may skip them, repeat them, or swap them for something else if you prefer โ just keep your total daily net carbs under 20g.
Note 1: If you followed an older version of this plan, youโll notice some changes โ this update reflects how we actually meal prep and eat now. Any references in the comments to recipes not here in the current week 2 keto meal plan are from before the update. To find those older recipes you can use the recipe search feature.
Note 2: Daily macro totals are calculated from the individual items listed and are approximate due to rounding. Totals include the optional snack and dessert shown for each day.

Hi Mellissa,
I’m on day two of the first week plan and am already excieted seeing Week 2 reciepies!
Just a quick question, what have the number of calories per day seemed to have increased from 1500 to 1700 and 1800 in week two?
Also, I can’t seem to find no sugar dressing here (I live in Australia) but will check out specialised stores on the weekend. Will using the no sugar mayo that I found work as an alternative (might get a little boring though).
Thanks!
Teja
Mellissa Sevigny says
Hi Teja, the weekly plans are more about staying within the carb limits than specifically keeping calories at 1500, especially since there are lots of men that do the plan too and they need more calories. It’s easy to adjust if you prefer to follow a lower calorie plan – just omit snacks or eat smaller portions if that’s a concern. If you can’t find sugar free dressing, you can always just use oil and vinegar or make your own!

Just wanna say thanks!!! Your meal plans are doing great for me… Just finished week two n I have lost 17 lbs!!! So again thank you!! Nice to lose weight and eat good food!!
Krupa says
i am just starting and looked at the plan. How can I make it vegetarian. I do not eat fish or any seafood either.
Thank you.
Mellissa Sevigny says
The plan as is won’t work for you – you’ll have to find only vegetarian recipes and calculate your own macros for the week.
Laura says
I absolutely love your site and your recipes!! My initial thought was i would just randomly eat eggs, meat and cheese for a few days and see what happens, but you helped me add structure (which I need!) and incorporated vegetables (which I thought I would have to wait on) into the diet. I initially read your 3-day Keto plan but was so excited that I jumped right into week one and loved it! Your recipes are quick and easy and I especially love how you do the shopping list! I always feel like I forget things but having that makes this so much easier! Keep up the good work!
Rikki says
Hi Mellissa! Just wanted to say that I can’t get enough of your site! My husband and I started following your meal plans last week-We did the Week 1 plan. I lost 8 lbs and he lost 6! We are so excited! Today, I made your jalapeno popper soup and jalapeno and cheddar muffins. They are both amazing!! My husband and I both lost a good amount of weight doing low carb a few years back, but we really went off because it got boring. I love to cook, and I felt so limited. I really believe that we can stick to it this time with your amazing recipes. I am having so much fun! I know that this post is from last year, but I just wanted to say thanks. :)
Mellissa Sevigny says
Welcome Rikki and congrats to both of you on your weight loss! I’m so glad you’re both enjoying the recipes and I hope to never run out of ideas to keep low carb from ever being boring!
Holly says
Wow! Jalepeno soup and cheddar muffins. Amazing. Lost 7 lbs. first week. Looking forward to more with these amazing recipes. Thanks so much for your posts Melissa.
Mellissa Sevigny says
I know right? Still two of my faves – glad you’re enjoying them too and congrats on the weight loss!
monica852005 says
Lost 11 lbs in week 1! Started at 220 lbs and yesterday I was 209 lbs. Can’t wait to see what week 2 brings! Love all the recipes!
Mellissa Sevigny says
Nice! That’s pretty awesome progress in your first week – you must be thrilled! Hope you enjoy the recipes in week two as much as week one, and keep us posted on your continued progress!
Katya says
Just finished week 2. Down 15 lbs!!! Woohoo!!! Still have a ways to go but I normally lose interest at this point in dieting but I feel very committed. What I love about this is that I don’t have to think about the recipes and what I am going to cook. The fact that I can prepare most things in advanced is an added bonus. We went out for dinner last night which is normally when I fall off the wagon but this time I had no desire. I made sure that I ate something that would keep the carb count down. When I had done low-carb before I was always hungry, but with your plans I am not hungry at all. A big plus is that with this diet my acid reflux has gotten a lot better. I am SO excited about dessert next week :-)
Thank you for all your hard work.
Tabatha says
First off i love these recipes so far :) Absolutely Amazing!!
I’m just curious if these meals are planned out for more than one person ?
The recipes seem to have alot in them.
