Welcome to the Week 2 Keto Meal Plan! ๐
Whether youโre continuing from Week 1 or jumping in right here, weโre thrilled youโre joining us.
This week 2 keto meal plan has been completely updated for January 2026 with new recipes, a corresponding prep strategy and shopping list, and clearer macros.

One of the goals of these weekly keto meal plans is to keep things realistic and sustainable. Staying in ketosis means keeping net carbs under 20g per day โ that part is non-negotiable. But this plan is also about building habits that actually work in real life, with real schedules, real grocery stores, and real appetites.
If you completed Week 1, take a moment to acknowledge that. Even planning ahead or cooking a few meals at home is progress. And if last week didnโt go exactly as you’d hoped? Thatโs okay too. Every new week is a fresh start.
If you’re just getting started and have questions about how keto works, you can start with my 3-Day Keto Kickstart and Menu Plan to get caught up.
What to Expect from the Week 2 Keto Meal Plan
This Week 2 Keto Meal Plan builds on the same structure you saw in Week 1, with a fresh mix of meals to keep things interesting while still staying low-carb and satisfying.
You can expect:
- A balance of simple, repeatable meals and a few that feel a little more special
- Easy prep that helps you stay consistent without cooking every day
- Flexibility built in so you can make swaps and still stay on track
The goal is always the same: eat well, stay consistent, and feel good doing it.
Keto Meal Prep that Fits Real Life
Just like last week, this plan leans on simple keto meal prep to make your week easier. A little time spent prepping on Sunday and midweek goes a long way toward reducing stress and decision fatigue.
That said, this is a framework โ not a rulebook. If you need to repeat a meal, skip something youโre not in the mood for, or swap based on what you already have, thatโs completely fine. Just keep your overall carbs in check and adjust portions as needed.

Before You Start: Standard Items Used This Week
To keep the daily plan clean and readable, a few items are used repeatedly throughout the week. Portions and macros for these items are already included in the daily totals.
Romaine Lettuce for Tuna Salad (1 serving)
Use either:
- 2 large romaine leaves (wrap-style), or
- 1 cup chopped romaine (fork salad)
Choose whichever you prefer โ both are equivalent for the purposes of this plan.
Standard Side Salad (1 serving)
This side salad appears with several dinners.
1 serving includes:
- 2 cups chopped romaine
- 1 cup sliced cucumber
- ยฝ cup sliced celery
- 2 tablespoons keto-friendly dressing
Macros assume up to ~170 calories from dressing. If your dressing is higher or lower, adjust accordingly.
About Optional Snacks & Desserts
Optional snacks and desserts are included in the daily macros shown.
You may skip them, repeat them, or swap them for something else if you prefer โ just keep your total daily net carbs under 20g.
Note 1: If you followed an older version of this plan, youโll notice some changes โ this update reflects how we actually meal prep and eat now. Any references in the comments to recipes not here in the current week 2 keto meal plan are from before the update. To find those older recipes you can use the recipe search feature.
Note 2: Daily macro totals are calculated from the individual items listed and are approximate due to rounding. Totals include the optional snack and dessert shown for each day.

Shut the front door! That Jalapeรฑo popper soup and the Japapeno muffins are OUT of this world. How do I eat just one cup and one muffin. Must walk away. Must leave house before I eat the whole thing. Thank you for such wonderful recipes. This can’t be a diet. It is way to yummy. ;)
diana says
Lvoe the menu plans! Are these lsited like this in any of your books? I’d love to have it in front of me!!
Pilar says
I just finished my first week, down 4 pounds. That is HUGE for me, my body weight usually fluctuates within a 3 pound range no matter what I do. I had to post and say thank you for putting together these plans, it makes jumping into this way of eating much easier. The recipes that I have tried have been wonderful! The meatballs parmigiana were especially tasty. Thanks again!
Mellissa Sevigny says
Welcome Pilar and congrats on the 4lbs! I’m so glad that you are finding the plans helpful (and delicious!) Hope you continue to see great progress – keep us posted! :)
Tania says
Hey Melissa…first of all thank you so much for putting all this time and effort in to create those great meal plans! Love the recipes and also the fact that you obviously thought about a busy lifestyle with your shopping lists and pre-cooked meals :)
I have been following week 1 now for 5 days and do not see a difference on the test strips…I am still neg or barely at the indication for trace which I find a bit strange to be honest….I did loose around 2 kg since I started but I did start when mother nature was arriving (not sure if that has something to do with the testing strips???) but other than that I am following your meal plan really well and drink enough water….is this normal? Thank you for a response!
Mellissa Sevigny says
You may just be really efficient, but if you’re showing trace that’s all you need. It’s just an indicator that you’re in keto sis, how dark the stick is really doesn’t matter. If your losing weight that’s also a siGn that it’s working. – just stay the course!
Jill says
I’m about to start this week’s plan – and I really like that it is set up to use all the leftovers! I was one week one for two weeks just because of all the extra delicious food it makes. I’ve lost 10 pounds!
Ashley Bell says
Let me first just say, THANK YOU! You have made this program so easy to follow. I am finishing up week one and excited to start week two! My weight fluctuates all the time but I am probably down 8-10 pounds in just the first week! My weakness is for sure sweets. I looked ahead in the future weeks and love the Lemon bars and I am making the Raspberry cheesecake Bars tonight. These alternative choices definitely curb my want (feeling of NEED) for sweets. Also, thumbs way up on the Feta, Sundried tomato turkey meatballs!! Amazing! I just serve them with garlic butter and parmesen cheese. So delicious! Looking forward to this week and seeing the scale go down. :)
Thank you again, so much! Ashley
Mellissa Sevigny says
Congrats Ashley and thanks for the comment! When I read that you served the meatballs with garlic butter and cheese my mouth started watering instantly! Definitely doing that myself soon, thanks for the inspiration! :)
Andrea says
LOVE these meal plans so much. I was on Medifast for 1 month and doing really well (starving and grossed out) but loosing weight. I then had a severe allergic reaction to the food (well it really isn’t food – but chemicals) HIVES everywhere YUCK! I had to stop and get on steriods. I don’t have medical issues or ever have allergic reactions like this – so it must be bad stuff! Finding your blog is such a gift. Real food for Ketoes that just isn’t boiled eggs and chicken breast lol! My whole family loves the food ( 2 teen boys) so that helps keep me on the journey! I am actuallyl enjoying cooking and that is a miracle in itself. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this all together and having such wonderful recipes LOVE IT!! Here I come Bikini well at least swimwear ;)!
Pat says
Andrea – Your words speak for all of us – very well said. I also had a bad experience with a popular diet food delivery plan. I became very ill from the shelf-ready food. One can only imagine the additives and chemicals that would be necessary to create those products. The body needs fresh, wholesome food – real food.
And I might also add losing pounds is not the only benefit from eating well. In the short time, 6 weeks, that I have totally eliminated wheat and sugar from my diet, my cholesterol has dropped by 49 Points! Tested on 12/31 and again on 2/4. That’s proof positive to me that FAT does not raise lipids; CARBS do! I think I’ll go have me a nice avocado snack! YUM!
Mellissa Sevigny says
Thanks for this Pat – I appreciate you sharing your cholesterol numbers because so many people are still scared away from a low carb diet unnecessarily because people still believe eating fat raises your cholesterol and it’s just not true! Congrats and thanks again!
Pat says
I forgot to mention my Glucose dropped by 39 points during the same period !! Both my cholesterol and glucose values were creeping upward which is major reason I committed in January to no wheat; no sugar. It didn’t take long to see several healthy results from the positive changes in my diet. Your menu plan came just at the right time.
Thanks again for all your helpful recipes and to the inspiring blog of readers who share a common goal: good food = good health.
Mellissa Sevigny says
Thanks so much for sharing your story Andrea – I’m so sorry that you had those issues, but I’m happy that they brought you here and that you’re loving the recipes! Welcome and I hope you (and all of us) will be strutting our stuff in a swimsuit at the beach this Summer! ;)
DL says
I created printer friendly versions of week 1 and week 2 for my family to use and I thought others might enjoy them too. So I’ve shared them as Google Documents (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B12HypWKlVhCOGdPU0hkdGx1QjQ&usp=sharing).
Enjoy!!!!
Pat says
So nice of you. Thanks!
Becky says
Thanks! That was very helpful!
Patti says
Just want to give you my continued thanks. Your recipes are all very good! I started with the 3 day pan, continued with the 1st week menus, Sunday I was down 3 pounds. I’m thrill! I don’t weigh daily, trying to focus on change. I really appreciate your hard work. Looking forward to weeks 2 and 3. Congrats on dr. Oz.

Hey there IBIH! I went looking on my recording of Dr Oz last night but didn’t see your spot/recipe. Has it been moved to another episode?
please update us with any news on that.
Just made your Jalepeno Popper soup last night and wow, it’s the bomb. Even my hubby loved it.
YOu rock! Thanks for everything you do for us!

Hey BC! The segment finally aired on Monday January 27th, but they cut all but about 2 seconds of my video and never even showed the chicken. I did post the video I sent to the Dr. Oz Show into my Fried Chicken Recipe, if you’re interested in seeing it! Glad the popper soup was a hit – we still love that one too!
